Events and Divisions

ALL meets begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Meets will last until the Early Evening. Please come prepared with adequate clothing (sweats, uniform, etc.), plenty to drink, and a sack lunch. Some meets do have a Snack Bar, but not all do. Please call your coach if you have a problem or question. You are expected to provide transportation to and from the meets for your child(ren). Together Sr's (High School)

This team is made up of high school athletes ranging from 9th-12th grade, the USATF Division Intermediate & Young Women.  They will compete in USATF competition after they finish their CIF & State Competition.  This is a combination of several Youth teams colaborating "together" as one unit to represent Southern California on a National level.  They will travel to Detriot Michigan, for the Age Group Nationals on TBA 2009.  They will also travel to the Junior Olympics in Greensboro,NC  on TBA 2009.  Each athletes has the opportunity to remain with their own youth coach or personal trainer for training after the CIF & State competition and that coach will communicate with the togehter administrator for event materials and uniforms.  Those choosen to represent on the relays will be required to attend relay exchange practice at CSULB once or twice a week to prepare for the National events.  Those who participate in Hurdles or field event also have the opportunity to train with their perspective coaches if they desire to do so.

 

Awards

Medals 1st-8th place are given out at each National competition with a wonderful awards ceremony sometimes awarded by previous Olympians.  The Junior Olympics will also have an opening ceremony where all the athletes parade the field and a wonderful awards ceremony as well.

 

Events

Each athlete may compete in a maximum of 4 events in each meet. Of the 4 events, 2 may be required of relays.
